Here is a preview of the new features of SAP Predictive Analysis SP14.
1) Tighter integration with SAP Lumira workflows
1.1 Access predictive datasets on the Visualize, Compose and Share tabs
Charts can now be saved that are created on the Visualize tab using predictive datasets. In order to use the predicted values select the appropriate component from the drop-down list. In order to save the visualization hit the Save button in the lower right of the screen.
1.2 The Share tab allows you to publish/ export predictive datasets to
- SAP HANA
- SAP Streamwork
- SAP Business Objects Explorer
- Lumira Server
- Microsoft Excel
- CSV files
1.3 Send your charts to your colleagues via email
1.4 Or print them as pdf files
2) New PAL Algorithms
- HANA Weighted Score Analysis
- HANA Self-Organizing Maps
- HANA ABC Classification Analysis
3) Help is now available on the SAP Help Portal
Simply click on either:
- F1
- the question mark icon
- or use the menu item: Help -> Help
4) Supports the latest version of R (R-3.0.1)
R-3.0.1 can now be installed from the application: Go to: File -> Install and Configure R
5) General information is available for components now
The component properties dialog provides you with details as component name, alias name and component description
6) SAP Predictive Analysis supports now also Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 operating system
7) SAP Predictive Analysis document file format changed to .lums
- Every new document created in SAP Predictive Analysis will be saved with the new file format .lums
- When opening and editing documents created with a previous version the file will besaved using the new .lums format
8) New data source support, check the SAP Product Availability Matrix for details.
9) SAP Predictive Analysis is now on HTML5 and its look and feel changed slightly.
All functionality is still available, here are a few that you might be looking for when starting to use at SP14:
- The Components Pane available through the Designer view of the Predict room contains now all of the available Algorithms, Data Preparation options as well as the Data Writers and the Models. Simply expand the relevant section and scroll-down to see all of the available entries and is now located on the right side of the screen.
- Component Actions like Configuring the Settings(Properties), Saving the model (only displays after the configuration of the properties of the algorithm and execution), Renaming or deletion can be done through the Component Actions section underneath the Components Pane. The Component Actions are only available once an algorithm was selected.
- Adding New Components can be done by clicking on the + icon in the lower right corner of the Components pane
